From the Chairman’s Desk

Greetings to all,

It is a great privilege and honour to associate and head National Institute of Personnel Management – KC, the prestigious professional body with a history of 49 glorious years.  In retrospect, it is heartening and inspiring to note that several illustrious professionals who have made mark not only in Indian horizon but also in the international arena were part of our Chapter.  By the time this reaches you, we would be in the threshold of welcoming the 50th year – “Golden Jubilee year” of our Chapter.

On the occasion of celebrating 49th anniversary, I feel it is my duty to recall and respect with reverence the contributions of the past Chairmen and the Committee as well as the members who have strived to build this institute to this enviable position.  It is our responsibility to sustain and uphold the quality and the standards which were the hall mark of our Chapter, and it is also our goal to reach the next level without compromising on the values and principles.

During the last one year, our endeavour has been to meet the expectations of our members and the business world. It is heartening to note that we were able to spread and share the insights on the topical subjects through various evening programmes, workshops and interactive sessions. The renewed vigour by the editorial committee in bringing out “The Human Resource” on relevant and appropriate themes has received appreciation from all. I am also happy to share that various sub-committees have shouldered the responsibility and responded to the needs of the hour. Special mention needs to given to the efforts of Mr. G R Ramanath who was instrumental in motivating educational institute to donate land for the Chapter. A decision on the future course of action of making use of this land will be unveiled shortly.

This year would be an eventful year for all members since 2010 would be the Golden Jubilee year. To mark this historic moment and to celebrate we have planned year long monthly special programs and events which would keep you busy and enthralled. My only request for all our members is that the participation for all these programmes in large numbers gives impetus to the committee for performing and delivering quality.  We are contemplating to institute surprise prizes during the Golden Jubilee year for members who are regular and involve actively in all our programs.

I wish to thank one and all and solicit your support in making the Golden Jubilee year -2010, a memorable one.

Best regards

Dr. Sathyanarayan
